# Contexted

> A peer-matching experiment that connects people through shared context — the recurring themes, tone, and texture of how they think — read from the memory their AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude) has accumulated about them. No photos, no swipes.

Contexted is an alpha, invite-only, and deliberately small. A user pastes a reviewed excerpt of their AI assistant's memory; the system reads it for recurring themes, values, and tone, generates a derived matching profile, and discards the raw text. Matches arrive in scheduled batch drops rather than an endless feed. Each match surfaces a few shared synergy points and one mutual prompt — a small, slightly vulnerable question — that both people must answer before an anonymous chat opens.

Core thesis: photos are a poor predictor of whether two people will keep talking. Shared context — values, communication style, the way someone holds a question — is closer to the thing.

## How it works

- [Step 1 — Open your AI memory](https://match.contexted.app/): Claude offers a direct import-memory link; ChatGPT offers an export path. The starting point is the memory layer, not a written profile.
- [Step 2 — Review the excerpt before pasting](https://match.contexted.app/): The user does a manual privacy pass, removing names, employers, exact locations, family details, and secrets. Automatic redaction is intentionally limited and does not replace this step.
- [Step 3 — Join the next drop](https://match.contexted.app/): Verify an email address, set preferences, and enter the next batched alpha drop. Drops run roughly twice a week.

## Product facts

- Matching input is AI-assistant memory, not photographs, age, or location.
- Matches are batched into scheduled drops, not served as a continuous swipe feed.
- A mutual prompt gates the chat: both sides answer before messaging opens.
- Chat is anonymous until both people choose otherwise.
- Access is invite-only. A quiet referral loop earns earlier consideration in future drops — earlier consideration means queue preference, not guaranteed matching.
- Raw pasted text is discarded after processing; a redacted matching text, a derived summary, and an embedding are retained to power future drops.
- Contexted is not a dating app, and not a friendship app. It is a bet that language is a better starting point for connection than appearance.
